The race had ended in disaster. Catching up to Sorrel was a dire necessity and luckily with Tux's help, I was able to do just that. Masau had eagerly stayed by Sor's side the entire time and at the end of the race, we came to a clearing with wooden stools and a frozen fire that didn't move. The artistry of the area was interesting, to say the least. Haunting, for another word. "I don't like this, Tux."

I gripped his fur and kept him close as I examined the wooden stools. The frozen licks of flames that were not even warm to the touch. The gamemakers really did it this time, impersonating this area to be somewhat comforting but to what extent? Fire that we would never have, warmth that would never come?

"Hey Sor - how you doing?" I questioned her and walked around one of the stumps before sitting down. "That was absolutely pointless. I got a defective sled, obvious. Or I would have won -"

(Slight filler because I have to work super early in the morning - yay retail black Friday deals throughout the month except for thanksgiving)

The race was fun, and getting to the bottom of it, and making her way to another area. Looking around, Sorrel searches for Carbon trying to figure out where he is and what he's doing. Nothing makes sense anymore. It's cold, and the idea of staying close to the others around isn't something she wants on her mind. Masau keeps her company as she keeps going forward.

Every fiber of her being aches as she keeps going. It's cold, and she's tired, and all she wants is a chance to close her eyes long enough to wake up feeling rested. Fear is here, and it's exhausting. It's keeping her awake at night, and even after having fun, she knows she's not home, and anything that's fun here isn't as it seems. And when her eyes finally rest onto the eyes of Carbon, she runs towards him, Masau leading the way.

"I'm doing fine. How are you?" She asks trying to keep everything together. Trying to know what's going on. Hoping that nothing bad has happened. "Are you sure you had a defective? Or are you just bad at riding one?" She asks in a teasing manner. "I can give you a couple lessons if you'd like." But other than that, she doesn't know. "Just got to find another hill, and I'll show you how it's done."
