YOU HAVE ALWAYS WORN YOUR
FLAWS UPON YOUR SLEEVE ―
FLAWS UPON YOUR SLEEVE ―
Adrian was curious about a lot of things. What happened when you died? Is there actually a meaning to life, or is this all for nothing? Was killing if it meant preserving your own life moral? Is killing ever moral? Is Zedekiah Luna as big as an asshole as he pretends to be? Some of these questions may forever go unanswered, leaving Adrian's curiosity forever unsated. However, the last one was not one of those questions - at least not after today.
Adrian somewhat knew Zed, not well by any means, but he knew him. He knew he had a shit ton of scars, though many careers did. He knew that he seemed short tempered. And he knew that Zed almost seemed to like getting in trouble. Adrian had no clue how that was even possible. Whenever Adrian got in trouble, it hurt. Even if he was pissed off at the time or acted like he didn't care, it hurt. Especially if the trouble was something that Adrian didn't even intend to do, if it was some sort of mistake.
After training was over the day, Adrian quickly made his way over to Zedekiah before the male had a chance to leave the building. He wasn't sure what to say honestly. Usually he let his friends do the talking, or he was talking with those friends. With his friends he wasn't awkward because talking to them was something normal. He's probably said fifteen or less words to Zed the entire time he's known the dude.
After hesitating he decided to just say fuck it and straight up just say he wanted to talk to him. That was the truth after all. He just wasn't sure what his excuse was going to be. Maybe he wanted to ask Zed for some help with hand-to-hand combat or strength training or something. That way it wasn't suspicious - after all Adrian was far better at agility and speed based tasks than strength/combat based tasks. Plus, in a way it was a compliment to Zed. In his experience people were more likely to want to talk to you if you compliment them first.
"Hey man, before you head out I was hoping to talk to you about something. Do you mind if we talk for a second?"
He was kind of hoping that Zed would make the conversation brief, or somehow reveal whether or not he was an asshole briefly. Yeah he wanted to know if this was some elaborate act or not, and possibly help Zed have an actual friend, but he also had shit to do tonight. Bills were due soon and the past four out of five nights his dad went straight from work to the bar - meaning that Adrian had to figure out how to pay the bills.
