killua kravitz.
get me drinking that moonshine
get me higher than a grocery bill
take my troubles to the high wall
throw them in the river and get your fill

take my troubles to the high wall
throw them in the river and get your fill
As his high began to wear off and he could feel his senses returning to normal, that's when his anger rose. The same anger that overtook him and left a hole in Adrian's drywall was returning, manifesting in the form of Zedekiah Luna who's gaze bore holes into Killua's skull. It took all of his willpower not to spit into his face, to not crush Zed underneath his sneakers with his words. Especially with the scent of alcohol off of his breath.
But Adrian was calling him away, and he knew he could do far more damage to Zedekiah by manipulating Adrian's view on him rather than confronting him personally. Zedekiah was a career, the type of guy who was taught to embrace his primal urges. The feeling of bloodlust was something that ran through Zedekiah's upbringing as a career. Killua lacked muscle, he lacked body fat, and he most definitely lacked a pure rage that Zedekiah had. He was smart enough to pick his battles - and Zed was certainly not one he wanted to get physical with.
He shook off Zedekiah's words with a smirk and turned his back to him. The difference between the two was stark - Zed's words couldn't sting as Killua's could. Killua knew Zed was the type of man to deny his true thoughts and feelings, hiding behind a mask of toxic masculinity. Killua knew he was just trying to turn it back on him - trying to distract himself from the truth of his words by throwing it back to Killua.
Unlucky for him, words never truly bothered Killua.
He strutted back towards the kitchen, following Adrian and leaving Zed behind in silence. Maybe the drunk bastard would drown himself in liquor before they returned and leave to be someone else's problem.
But Adrian seemed... off. His movements were staggered and clumsy, mimicking his father's from the day before. Was he drunk? Did he manage to sneak alcohol in the three minutes he had left to go to the bathroom?
No, there was no way. Maybe he was just feeling extra clumsy today.
"Zedekiah had agreed to try to get along with you for just today." Adrian said, his voice sounding drowsy and tired.
Funny, I remember him being the one to start it. It was okay. Adrian was unwilling to admit to himself Zed's clear interest in him. He didn't get it, but he understood. Killua would probably be in denial with it himself if someone like him was showing interest in him.
But then he mentioned a reward. A reward.
"Anything?" Killua purred, stepping closer to Adrian. Perhaps he could manage to be nice to Zedekiah to get something out of it.
