Camp CAREER is a summer camp dedicated to bringing careers from all over the districts of 1, 2 and 4 to test their abilities in an actual arena! Using the generously provided 88th Hunger Games arena, careers will attend Camp CAREER as campers to enhance their fighting abilities. Shoved into a hot, sweaty cabin with limited plumbing and the beaming hot sun on your faces as you go through your day, these campers are sure to return with an experience (and sunburn) of a lifetime!
Upon arrival, they will be sorted into four houses and compete against each other to earn points. The winning cabin will earn a special meet and greet with a special surprise guest!
Only certain aspects of camp will be televised for people to watch. Highlight reels from the camp challenges will be posted, highlighting certain talents that stand out throughout the day! We will also be televising the reveal of our special celebrity guest for the campers.
Not a career, or too old, but want to be involved? Camp CAREER is looking for several enthusiastic volunteers to act as counselors for these four cabins! You will gain leadership experience while you bring the campers to the events that they have signed up for. We are also actively looking for volunteers who wish to act as specialists. If you think you have what it takes to train a bunch of previously-trained students in an immersive experience, sign up! Mutt trainers, ranged specialties, defense, close combat and more courses are able to be led. Enrollment is not open for campers yet! Campers will be able to enroll soon enough.
Welcome to Camp CAREER! Something I literally came up with four hours ago. This is a fun idea I had to use the 88th arena for future things. Right now this is only a post for volunteers, but once we have a few counselors signed up, we'll allow for campers to enroll!
Volunteers for specialty areas should be 18+ and have reasonable experience in the specialty they're signing up for. I'd prefer them to be 1/2/4, just for the purpose of it being a career based camp. Though any district is fine! Same with volunteers to just be general counselors! We will have four head counselors who will be the overall lead for each "cabin". The cabins are themed after the finalists of the fifth!
If you're interested in signing up your character to be a counselor, here's the form! If your character is signing up for a specialist position, say what they specialize in!
