Sabrina Larue
After training relentlessly for several hours, both mentally and physically, it feels like lunch is a God send from the heavens. Everyone seems cheery to be able to get a break and quickly disperse off to grab food and to sit at a table with their allies. As she glances around there are some people that are alone, some that other tributes must view as undesirable, and there are some that sit alone, most likely because they do not trust anyone else. Sabrina falls under the latter category of people.
Sabrina grabs some rice, along with some meat that seems to be beef or pork, as well as some vegetables that the guy at the edible and medicinal plant station did not talk to her about. She can only assume that the plant doesn’t naturally grow in the wild and has been selective bred for Capitol citizens by those that live in District 11. The Capitol must have a ton of chefs cooking these meals because there always seems to be a surplus of food. There seems to never be any shortages here like there are in the Districts.
Although Sabrina intentionally grabbed an empty table, a girl followed, and then proceeded to sit down next to her. Not wanting to be rude and disrespectful, she listened to what the District 4 female tribute had to say. “We cut off the heads of the fish before shipping them off to the Capitol… I’ve always been told that the customers don’t want to see the eyes. It creeps them out, apparently.”
“That honestly sounds so ‘Capitol’ sounding that it is creepy.” Sabrina quietly replies, glancing around to see if anyone else heard her trash talk the place she’s been living, the place that could cause her life to become worse than it already is once she’s inside of the arena. “Of course they would be scared of dead fish, but they would cheer for their favorite in a game killing another tribute… That seems absolutely sensible and correct.”
