No New Posts Island One

In the center of this island stands the golden Cornucopia, a metal horn twenty feet high with a woven appearance and a curved tail. The rest of this island is a flat beach island, coated loosely in sand. The only shelter is the plant life: saw grass and sea oats, standing four-feet high, offer minimal concealment to the tributes that would crouch or lay down. The grasses cover the island in its entirety, even the space between the tributes and the Cornucopia. From this central island, the eleven islands surrounding it are visible in the distance.[/s]

No New Posts Island Two

The tallest island in the Arena, Island Two is comprised of a long, thin, rocky beach that stretches from end to end. In the middle of the island sits a large cliff. The only way to the top is on a single path—steep, narrow, and slippery. Those that survive the climb are rewarded with the shelter of a single cave, but should be wary: who knows what little beasties the Gamemakers have hidden inside?

No New Posts Island Three

A small triangular island completely covered with dense jungle, it is hard to say exactly what can be found here. Odds are that there is some kind of nasty surprise that makes this island its home, but to say exactly what would require exploring it. If not for the thick, ensnaring growth of the jungle, a scouting expedition would not take very long, given that the island’s perimeter is only about two and a half miles.

No New Posts Island Four

One of the largest islands in the arena, Island Four, from the air, is shaped roughly like an angelfish. The two fin-like peninsulas of this island are all sand dunes, while the “body” portion is a sweltering jungle, filled with untold dangers.

No New Posts Island Five

This island is one of many that houses a jungle. The trees here, however, are noticeably taller here than on the other isles, with their green hues are not quite as vivid. This is one of the largest islands in the arena, though it is primarily made up of beach with minimal shade and minimal camouflage.

No New Posts Island Six

The tropical foliage on this island is rather squat and bushy, with more vines and flowering plants than trees. The island gives off a heavy, foul stench that is neither subdued by the salty sea air nor carried away with the breeze. It is a medium-sized patch of land, ringed with a dark brown, grainy beach.

No New Posts Island Seven

The jungle plants on this island do not grow as close together as they do in other places. This tiny island’s entire ground is covered in acorn-sized rocks, concealing all tracks, but making an excessive amount of noise with every step and tripping the tributes that try to run at full speed.

No New Posts Island Eight - 1 Viewing

Seemingly every inch of this mushroom-shaped island is covered in an itchy shoulder-height grass, which makes it easy to spot your opponents, easy to get lost, and hard to spot the dangerous wildlife lurking below. The ground is all muck as soon as you make it past the beach, with a few inches of muddy water for you to wade through. The massive swamp deepens as you approach the center of what would be the cap of the mushroom, becoming about waist-high, and still as murky as ever. The thick mud likes to grab at the legs of the tributes moving through it, making the prospect of running laughable.

No New Posts Island Nine

The thin, L-shaped island is one giant hill, like the rocky spine of a dead sea monster. The island itself is, by and large, barren, with a few scraggly, pathetic looking plants along the stone beach. It would take mere minutes to cross a thin portion of the island, if it weren't for the giant, precarious incline and steep drop separating the two. The rocks on the hill are not well secured, and with every footfall, a tribute would find the rocks under their feet sliding back down half the distance they tried to gain. The only flat surface of this island is the thin slice of land at the angle, the joint connecting the two halves of the island.

No New Posts Island Ten

Just beyond the sand dunes at the edge of this island's beach, a downward slope leads into a jungly basin, a pit in the ocean. An inviting hot spring sits at the very bottom of the basin, surrounded by delicate vines, small shrubs, and wispy trees. This island is not all pleasant, however; a constant, foreboding hum emanates from some unknown point of origin.

No New Posts Island Eleven

The trees on this island are short and bleached white by the sun. This island seems very dry, with a cracked, dusty soil comprising the barren ground. In the very center of the island sits a large beige stone, almost perfectly round, and flat across the top. It is about twenty feet in diameter and eight feet high, and seems to serve no purpose whatsoever.

No New Posts Island Twelve

Possibly the smallest in the arena, this island is made of a single slab of marble, covered in a thick, black dust that sticks to everything. The numerous plants are completely black through and through: their fruit and flowers and sap are all the color of night. The pool of water in the center of this island resembles a giant ink well, with the semi-visible stone containing the shiny black liquid. Tributes will find that the dust lingers for several days after leaving the island, even with the aid of water or any attempts at scrubbing.

No New Posts Open Water

The wine dark sea that connects the islands of this Arena is immeasurably deep and filled with untold dangers, yet crossing it is a necessity for tributes who wish to survive. The water is quite salty and impossible to drink, and the marine life who inhabit it are equally inedible and even more dangerous. The sea is a very temperamental lady, and tributes should take care when crossing her--she doesn't have the patience for the arrogant.
