He sat in her chair, whiskey in hand and his brother across from him. Octavia had been absent over the last couple months, her travels leaving the district unmanned and in need of leadership, so he had taken upon himself, as her right-hand man, to sit in her chair, in her office, with her title of mayor printed on a gold plack on hers his desk. Taking a sip of his drink he leans back in his chair, his eyes studying the portrait of his sister that she kept on her desk. She was also very self-absorbed, his darling sister Octavia.

"The district grows weaker," looking at his brother in concern, "Octavia had promised that she would weed out the weak, resulting in a stronger district two. But we still continue to fail." He places his glass down into the desk, leaning forwards so that his chin could be propped up by the palm of his hand. "We need a damn victor. The rest of the districts are just gonna keep seeing us as fools if we keep sending in pathetic challengers who can't even beat the scum from the lower districts." He sighs, running a hung. through his hair.

What they needed was another Strauss tribute. One that was not Meredith, disrespecting the family name. Isabelle, that's who they needed. A monster of his creation would demolish the playing field, and bring home him a crown. A crown that he so desperately wanted.

"The district keeps producing failures," leaning back in his chair once again he takes a long slow mouthful of his whiskey, meeting his brother gaze. Remembering the other issue that he was supposed to address with his brother. "Also, last time Octavia and I spoke, she wants to remove any threat there might be in terms of the election. She does not wish to have any challengers and has directed us to 'remove' any potential competitors. And I agree. The challengers need to be removed. But...

But I don't plan for our darling little sister to run the district next term. Brother, the next five years will be ours. It's time to make this district ours. Time to overthrow our darling sister and take this district for ourselves, it's time for our rule."
