One by one, they fall. Most put up a fight, a few crumble beneath the boots of the strong. But the ones who stand before you, covered in the blood and viscera of their foes are the ones we’re here for. Aren’t they?
They’re who we’re watching for.
A hush falls upon the Colosseum as the trains screech to a halt and lock into place with a loud and booming clank. Speakers roar to life, static sliced through by the clearing of a throat and a tap of a finger on a microphone. “Ladies and gentlemen,” the voice is nervous, but personable, excited to be here for this moment — her moment. “I’m so happy to be here at this historic and monumental event. Let’s hear it for our Top Four placements, shall we?”
JJ tries to engage the crowd, the VIP guests especially. This is why she was brought into the team, right? She was supposed to be good at this sort of thing. And she is. With an expertly timed press of a button, music swells beneath her voice and she rises from her booth in the center of the arena. “Never before have we seen such ruthless fighters, am I right?” The crowd erupts and her soul comes alive, veins thick with adrenaline and a smile on her face so wide you would think she’s taken something. “Let’s hear from them, yeah? Straight from the horse’s mouth!”
The four trains detach from one another and drift apart, each tribute standing atop their own. A stage, of sorts. Another press of a button grinds to life two small steel doors on the front of her desk. Four butterfly looking drones hum to life and flutter out toward the last ones standing. The screens throughout the Colosseum shed their three-picture rotation and show the face of the first interviewee. But if one were to look where they stand physically, they would see a tiny hologram of JJ Moreau project from under the drone as a camera locks onto its intended target.
“Hey, there, killer!”
She says it with a smirk, brow stretched and a hand on her hip. The hologram moves in tandem with her as she walks slowly back and forth in her booth. “How’s it feel to have made it this far?” JJ winks and waits for an answer, and so does the crowd.
“Don’t be shy now. The whole world’s watching.”
Congratulations on making Top Four!

Tributes are encouraged to write a non-attack intro post for this thread if they would like, but is not required. As a part of our 6th Games, announcer JJ Moreau will ask each of the top four tributes five (5) questions each, with a drone in front of them and their face on every screen in the arena during their answers. This is the Media Games, after all!QUESTIONS FOR TOP 4 TRIBUTES:1. How does it feel to have made it this far?
2. How many people did you kill again? We've lost count!
3. Do you feel any different now? Are you really a killer?
4. You swing that weapon like you were born to! Did you train for this?
5. And lastly, what will you do if you make it back home?
Do please notify your writing partner on Slack, though, if you wish to opt out of writing an intro and not answering the half-time questions, and instead want to just kick off the fight!
Weapons continue to be non-transferable and thrown weapons continue to become lost.
Death posts may be posted in this thread or in a separate thread if you wish.
Good luck to all!
