I must say, your District made quite the splash at the Tribute Parade. Tell us what you were feeling up there! Confident, nervous, excited?
*Aurora stares out into the crowd, swallowing nervously.* Woah, that's a lot of people.
Aurora, you there? She must be a little nervous!
Was mum and dad watching now? What did they think? Did they forgive me for taking Nina's place? Did they understand why?
What about the other tributes? Intimidating? Interesting? Irritating?
"I did it because I couldn't watch her die!" I suddenly blurt, my heart racing, tears welling in my eyes for the first time since taking that step forward. "Mum, I had to do it! She would have died! She- she would have died."
What does Nina Hart mean to you?
The interviewer asks, leaning in, taking advantage of the situation, instantly my eyes snap to them and the tears dry, my face falling. I sit back in my chair, crossing my arms defensively. I must have looked like a stubborn young child, "I have a question, what's your favourite part about the games? Is it when you get to watch kids desperately fight to live. Or is it when you get to watch them forced to kill each other for your entertainment- or is it when you dress them up in pretty outfits like this, getting to know them before watching their bodies get mutilated. Or is it the screams? What sort of fucked up pleasure do you get from that-"
I think that's all we got time for-
"Awww, come on, tell me! You want me to spill something personal- for what? Do you want me to tell you that I have two loving parents at home? Two parents, that are going to be shattered when they watch me die- no, wait, murdered? OH is that too much for you? Can't handle the truth-"
