He has always been well-versed in making himself and others fall apart. Breaker, destroyer, punisher – he has forever known desolation and the power it had.
And when the bottle lands on Iden, it feels like that. A desolation, an apocalypse. He carves his lips to a grin, bunches his hand in the other’s collar, and when he leans forward, it is to set the other alight.
Iden’s lips taste like ashes and candy. Their mouths wrestle each other not so kindly and he is breathless by the time they part, chest heaving, cheeks flushed, burning already. It doesn’t stop all the night. He can feel it long after spin the bottle ends and they all go separate ways, lower tributes to their apartments, the careers – him and Iden – to theirs.
They make it past a hallway before Bastian spins on a heel and kisses him again.
And yes, it sears like before.
“You uh,” he makes his best I'm trying to get into your pants grin, “you down for some midnight training?”
