Blood's drawn before the two giants ever meet face-to-face. 

A life defined by how much it consumes, the Tyrannosaurus Rex ravages as quick as it hatches. The wetlands squish under its feet as easily as bodies do as this beast feasts on birds and mammals alike, an unconscious king of destruction. It's almost a celebration, the arrival of its hatching followed with its parade of carcasses. The night of day four is echoed with this monster's stomps, the gnawing of bones and ripping of flesh the chorus to this festival. 

The first sun rises and with it comes the tributes, prey on wheels that awaken a juvenile tyrant. Its jaw springs to life before it does, pounds of teeth swiping at a car before its body is off the ground. Awaken, it hears, as simple as a dinner bell for food too quick for it. Too small, too agile; so it turns to the other predator. 

Its tail swipes the battlefield, a booming sound clearing the air overhead as debris rises in a cloud. The T. Rex tastes only metal as it bites clean through the roof of a car, crunching the pieces down that it can keep in its mouth as another beast feasts on blood. Something from the water, another killer among many - another starved giant. 

The cars split following the boom, two dinosaurs chasing after the same crumbs. 

So, it turns to the bigger meal.
