Sweat, dirt, and blood cling to your skin. It's been five full days since your last real bath, your last full Capitol meal. Your ribs are starting to show, your mind starting to grind against itself to make a single thought. Victory should feel closer after so much suffering, but it's still far from your grasp.

Congratulations on surviving Day 5!
The first drop of rain falls as the anthem comes to a close. It's a welcome relief after days of thick humid air to finally feel rain. It's a weak shower at first, enough to run through your hair and scrub the filth from your face. You hunker down for the night only for the rain to keep coming. If you lack shelter all of your belongings become drenched as the rain picks up strength hour after after. You can hardly see the sun rise as thick clouds follow you across the arena, dropping a torrential downpour down your back. Your raincoats are little protection as the water drips from your eyelashes and fills your shoes. The thin cotton that made the heat bearable clings to your skin trapping in the heat. You grip your weapon tighter, eager not to lose it. It'd be a shame to make a mistake this far into the game.
