I've always been a risk-taker, whether it be with my money, my relationships or my life. My name is so fitting of me because I picked it myself. It just seemed... right. I bounced between a lot of different ideas of a name for a while, but eventually settled on Gamble since it fit the best. No other decision I've made in my life ever seemed so right than when I decided to truly become myself. It was the one thing that didn't actually feel like a risk.

My parents have been extremely supportive of me finding myself, which is saying something, seeing as they're hardly ever supportive of the decisions I make with my life. They've never liked my romantic partners that I've chosen— not because of their genders, but because of their personalities. They've never been too fond of the friends I've chosen to get involved with for the most part, either. I suppose that could be because they gamble on decisions in their lives just like I do, and they probably think it rubbed of on me. In all actuality, I think we were all just like this to begin with. I didn't influence them, and they didn't influence me. We've always just been. I plan to keep on being.
