It seems the Sachdevas were inclined to greatness, though he could have never predicted such about his little sister. He just had so many younger sisters and the responsibility had always been his to shepherd them through life, never mind the fact that his father remained healthy enough to work in the orchards every single day. From birth he'd been imbued with responsibility: to care for the family, to work hard, to achieve, to succeed.

Like most, he met this weight with rebellion in his teenage years. He even left home for a time. And it was during that sabbatical that Navya fell in love with a strange, quiet beast of a boy. Darsh only returned when Harbinger did.

That was many moons ago. He married the girl his parents wanted him to, divorced two years later. Then, he married for love. His parents were furious but they could not hate their grandchildren, which between Darsh and Navya, they had plenty of. Slowly his father allowed him back into the family business. Darsh never could quite figure out how to tell him that the orchard barely made enough money to scrape by; it was the moonshine drawn from the fermenting fruits that kept the Sachdevas comfortable.

Darsh had never been ambitious. But he's become accustomed to a certain style of living. And as Eleven fractures and people look for leadership, he's considered tossing back his dark locks and trying his hand at politics. After all, he spent many years looking out for Navya's good fortune; it's time for her to return the favor.
