I don't know why Père wanted me to do this, I asked him but he didn't answer. What he did tell me was if I did it he'd come to my next play. And I could see it! Me taking my bow at the end of my performance. And right in the front, Père and Mère! They'd be standing up and clapping for me. After Père would tell me how proud of me he is and give me a big hug. And it was going to be perfect. So I didn't know why he wanted me here, but that wasn't important.
I have what's called an eidetic memory. After scanning an image or a document for about 30 seconds I pretty have it locked into my mind exactly. It gets a bit more jumbled with actual scenes or conversations, but I usually remember those too. Of course these memories do fade, but I can copy it from memory before that happens. That's what he wanted me to do. Mentally scan everything in the Class 1-A classroom and then go to the library and copy down all of it.
He told me it was to help the district. But that it was very important no one knew what I was doing or that he was having me do it. And that's why he wanted me to do it specifically. Because I wouldn't have to take the time to copy it down while in the room nor would I have to remove anything from the room. I don't know how he got it but Père gave me a master key for the school, maybe he was helping the Principal! That would make sense.
I had just gotten into a locked filing cabinet and was looking at a document that had a list of all of the students and detailed information about them.
