Dear Percy Volante,

It is a great pleasure to meet your acquaintance. I mean that genuinely. I feel as though in commiting pen to paper I already know you, though you are far away. I suspect we gaze at the same star strewn sky but I do not believe we have ever met.

At least, not in this life.

Please find a gift enclosed. I cannot claim to have made the ribbons myself, but I did carefully select them at the local market. It's more or less above board and certainly I abide by all rules and regulations put forth by our glorious leaders.

I chose the colors and I think that was the first moment I decided to know you. I hope you will like them. Is teal your colors? I felt it was, and you'll see I didn't stray very far. I've used the ribbons, which are best for tying hair, to cushion another gift: a sprig of sage, tied with the deepest black ribbon I've ever seen.

Do be careful when lighting the sage. If you have much to exorcise, it burns quite quick.
