ticking off the bucket list { Dante/Derek }

A pillow in my face, Dante had demanded my retreat but like the gentleman I was I had ignored her, watching as she examines the ID's with suspicion. She asks what else I had had to do for the cards and I just shrug with a cheeky grin spead across my lips. The payment had entailed a little seduction, and a night spent in an unfamiliar bed. Not that I was complaining, and if I was being honest, it was one hell of a night.

So maybe it was more of a win win for me- but I wasn't about to tell Dante that. I needed to feed off her guilt enough to get her off her ass and into her closet picking out an outfit that would go with that mopey scowl she seemed determined to wear.

But the mention of some under the sheets fun has another pillow in her hand, one that is swiftly shoved in my face as she sits on top of me, with a heart filled attempt at murder. With ease I manage to knock her off me, pillow ripped from her hands I shove it behind my head, leaning back I cross one leg over the other allowing myself to get more comfortable.

"You know, if I barf on another person I'm about to kiss, I'm gonna send my ass to hell immediately." You try to hold back a chuckle at her words, but fail miserably as you remember her reciting the story, a story that I bet she wished she had kept to herself. "Don't even try to talk me down, I'm jumping." She pauses a moment, and I am sure that I have caught her hook line and sinker. "Fine, I guess I could go."

Silently cheering, I silently try to fight back the next words that bounce to my lips. But for the second time this evening, I fail.

"Don't be so dramatic, D," grin on my lips I pull the pillow between the two of us as a protective barrier. "You barf on your next kiss, I'm going to pull out a camera to document the moment in history. How many people can say they yacked on their nearly first kiss twice."

And before she can take back her promise to come out with me tonight I jump from her bed, ripping open her closet. "You have 10 mins to get ready or I am dragging you out of this house in your sweats," I pause briefly looking over my shoulder. "Either way babe, we are going out tonight. You can either look like a hot mess or a hot mess." At this point I am not even sure that made sense, but I pull some things out throwing them at her on the floor. 

"Hey, white t-shirts go with everything- and not to mention I look fucking amazing in them. I mean look at me?" I say, posing with my arms flexed. "White t-shirts slap and you know it- do you own anything that isn't black?" I mutter as I pull out more pieces of clothing, tossing them in her general direction.

Giving up on the cupboard I move towards the dresser, ripping open the first draw to get an eye full of bra's and underwear. I toss a bra at her, like I was flipping a slingshot, "gotta put one of these on too, you know, just incase."

I'm reaching for the next draw when Dante's whole body slams into me and she is shoving me towards the exit, pushing me out of her room- was she blushing a little? "Okay, okay – I get it! Look hot. Now leave. I need to get dressed, stupid." She says quickly, and I'm starting to form an idea of why she had suddenly rushed me from the room. Maybe my sweet little Dante wasn't as innocent as she pretended to be!

"It's gonna take an hour by the way."

Yeah, nah. That wasn't going to cut it.

"You have 20 minutes before I barge my way in and drag you outta there!" I yell through the door, pushing myself onto the couch.

Flicking out my smart device I set a timer for 20 minutes exactly.
