Hi Ax Ohs!!
Sorry for the hiatus!
I was absolutely devastated that Axel got eliminated during Judge's Cuts and decided to take a mental breather from the show. I mean, the guy who ended up winning? Seriously?? He had such a cliché and boring performance. Knife throwing is really dated now – it's not the 60s anymore where all our parents had for entertainment were the fricking Games.
I guess that guy's final act was alright. I could kind of see what he was trying to do with the rhymes about his fish. But no hate, it's just not on the same level as Axel. I know Axel has a goldfish himself, and I would love to hear him do something similar. I think he has what it takes to elevate it into pure poetry.
Anyways! That last performance was just so phenomenal to watch. He's really proven now to the antis that he's not just a juggler or baker or performer – he’s truly an artist. The symbolism of the pies was so nuanced and well-thought out, especially that cherry one (oh my god!!) He deserves all the love and recognition in the world, and I know it'll be something special that will remain in our hearts forever 💖
Also, I just gotta say Axel and Pietro looked really good up there together?? Like, they had so much chemistry during the show, I could literally feel the sparks flying when Pietro tossed him the last tart. They were just so cute ahhh. I've been obsessed with their relationship. And obviously I'm happy that Axel’s on YLIP, but I just can't believe they’re not together.
I'll be doing some recaps of YLIP soon! I almost passed away when I saw Axel. He's seriously the most adorable and charming and perfect person.
