↳ SEBASTIEN SALAZAR
In 7, the party started the night before. Sebastien pounds Modelo's from sun down to sun up, takes a three hour nap in a market stall and does it all over again with his boys, Manny & Jen the next day. Being a Salazar's got its perks, having your hands on almost any contact you want in the district; the drinks don't stop.
Best part is, they never have to!
He's gearing up to the prime of his life, he knows it every day his dad gets closer to retiring and 7 will be all his, and this is how he wants to live it. The Carnival's like a second home to him, so natural in the way he blends into a party and forgets the time he wastes. Man, this is what life should be.
What life should have always been, it's like a nod to good times. Once he got permission to host he left his villa for a week and a half and hasn't been home since. "Aye Manny, round before the speech, get your ass over here!" He shouts over the street, rounding the boys up before he's got to take care of business and all that. It's hard work being so successful, but... somebody's gotta do it.
Up, hit the table, head back and - "shit!" - show time. Sebastien makes his way on stage and leaves his shades off under the podium. Clears his throat, sip of water, "hey everybody, it's about to hit 7pm so I just want to remind everybody that the Carnival is going to be arriving any minute. I just want to say thank you guys so much for coming out and spreading that love and positivity this district needs, shout out to my little cousin who's repping us this year - make us proud, Rafe!"
It's bittersweet, to share this moment with the entire district but his cousin; family's everything. The jazz of the marching band can be heard coming up the street, he clears his throat moving on to address the district. "I think I hear them now, it's my honor to welcome in... the Traveling Pan-African Carnival! It makes me so proud to see black excellence celebrated in Panem - everybody come out and make some noise, we've got a parade, food, drinks and all the beads you'll ever need!"
And he doesn't wait to jump right back into things.

OOC REMINDERS!
Local entertainers are encouraged to join in the opening parade with their own floats or walking performances, and are welcomed to set up their own booths or stalls in the main district square alongside the other carnival setups. So be creative! If you have a local way to celebrate black heritage, they want you to show it.
Beads are determined by a dice roll [*roll range="1-10"] in your first post, and all posts after earn you +2 beads.
Please keep track of your beads here!
This event will run until February 28th.
And most importantly, have fun. x
