CAPITOL VOTES!
it's back, and it's badder than ever!
it's... *ahem*
CAPITOL VOTES!
Like usual it's your host, Risky P. Washington here to recap the Games, analyze everything going on and dish out some superlatives. So we're just going to skip over how I entirely missed the 89th last season, things happen, it's okay we're here now and that's what matters.
I'm gonna go ahead and say that I am pro-bloodbath deaths, okay, I am here for the violence and drama right off the bat. It's not called a hit-and-run-bath - give us the blood, you know? I don't know if this is a hot take, but they start the games off with a bang you just don't get if everybody lives. That's how I feel, but also yes, Emerson was robbed.
Getting into the meat of the Day 1, thee bloodbath, Parker Lachlan gave a big bark before the games started and I mean, what can we say besides yeah. She's living up to her score, her assessment, she's living up to D4's reputation - what more can you ask for? I mean, she's already got 2 (3?) kills and it's been, um, an hour and a half.
Now this year we lost 2 tributes in the bloodbath, which is as yummy as it is heartbreaking. As much as I live for it, I wasn't anywhere near ready to say goodbye to these tributes, starting off with 3's Sierra Bordeaux. Now, she may not be a sibtrib but I know she had some connection to icon Bellamy Scott so I was really excited to see what she had to offer as well.
And did anyone else see that Maryn Hale drama spill? Just checking.
Tragically, we also lost Celeste Brere from District 11. Now, I really did not see her going so quickly - the guy who does my betting put like, 3 million on her. Extremely huge blow, I feel like District 11 has become really unpredictable these last few years. As always, huge respect to all the tribute families these games.
Now, talking about unpredictable, let's talk about Parker Lachlan shanking the hell out of Pope Vanburen after the bloodbath?! I mean, I was gone, I couldn't believe it was happening at first. I even censored my name in the intro out of respect, if I saw Celeste going far than I saw Pope winning! You all know how I love a career, so consider me gagged.
And consider me a Parker stan, capitol O-fficially.
Fellow careers, Lottie Bellisario & Talon Grey, snagged the wealth despite not picking up any kills, alongside fucking KIIBO. Malaki-Boden is an anomaly to me and I'm completely obsessed, the three of them also split the rewards with District 12's Maze Armstrong, who had fled with Talon earlier.
Overall, I'd say a strong wealth alliance. I could certainly see a top 8 placement coming from that group - and hello, I'm here for anything Bellisario. If you aren't stanning Love, what are you doing?! We all kind of expect good things from Charlotte because of it, so I'm interested to see if she'll live up.
-so to recap:
DAY ONE
D1 Isaac Le Roux
D4 Parker Lachlan
D1 Pope Vanburen
D3 Sierra Bordeaux
D11 Celeste Brere
And that's the that on that. 3 already down, 21 left - as we all know, day 2 is mutt day so expect 1 to no deaths. Like always we're ending this off with a poll for you guys, this week we're asking which district do you think is winning the 90th hunger games? District 7's always a strong choice to go with alongside the careers, Mackenzie's been itching for a victor for a decade now.
Will this be his year? Probably not.
Now if you'll excuse me, I've got to do my daily emotional preparation for what hell Day 6 is going to bring.
- xoxo,
