P E T E R W E B S T E R - V Ă D U V A
My dreams weren't of Celeste last night, they were of the boy on the balcony.
That night is a blur that happened in slow motion. I remember his hair shining in the star light, I never thought brown hair could be so beautiful. It was surprisingly soft when I touched it, I wondered if it was still so soft even in the Arena. His eyes... the way they sparkled under the moon. Maybe it was just the weed but I could see galaxies within them. And so I called him beautiful because he was. I don't remember much else, I just remembered it was beautiful. He was beautiful.
Talon Grey is beautiful.

Before we left in the morning I pulled to the side the newest member of our alliance. It didn't seem like he told anyone about yesterday, him thinking I was a traitor. I wasn't. I knew I wasn't. And I thought that maybe deep down he knew I wasn't either. Regardless, Ellis was on thin ice. Punching me, trying to eat Coconut, and generally being a dick. I wanted to make sure that if he was a dick to Oswald, Oswald wouldn't take it personally. The kid seemed tough, but he's still a kid.He didn't deserve to be here at all, he shouldn't have been here.
And he didn't need Ellis making things worse. So when I pulled him aside, I thought of Gabriel, and I said what I would tell Gabriel, "Don't listen to Ellis, alright? Just,,, ignore him. Honestly kid he's a dick." I didn't like swearing in front of kids, but Oswald would either have to kill people or die trying, he could hear a few curse words. And with Ellis on the team he'd hear more than just a few.

Part of me wanted to stay in the peace of the Oasis forever. I wanted to be here where the Gods were, where I could feel truly immortal. But alas, that could never happen. None of us were immortal until we stepped foot out of this arena. Whoever left this Arena though? They would live forever. Forever in the hearts and minds of the people in Panem. Forever compared to the 23 others. Forever in the nightmares of the family of the dead. Forever.
And so we left the Oasis, and instead found a wide open area that seemed to go forever. Was this an escape to freedom? Not likely after Cecily Deerling last games. They probably had extra precautions last time around. After we inspected the ship for any signs of tampering we set sail and began to explore the vast landscapes. I was glad to see how much better Esther seemed to be doing. I was worried about her, being immortal looked good on her.
But we weren't the only ones exploring the land. In the distance there was another ship, "Guys, look ahead!" I couldn't tell what was going on on the other ship. I didn't know that the most beautiful boy in the Arena was on that ship. But I didn't want to start a fight with them if I could avoid it. When I fired the gun on the ship, it was just supposed to be a warning. But the thing is, I have a really shitty aim.
