91st Sparring Tournament
It's a quiet morning when he's found himself done on the floor. Peacekeepers having warned him of the complications that could be had for doing what he's doing, but Saber Bancroft had a method to his madness. A born gift to find the pieces of what needs to be weaved in order for a larger picture to be made. No one could question his authority when he's become to the authority. Standing in the training center was much more beneficial to their creations in the long run. A better eye to be had on the tributes. Training was a time for tributes to grow and find footings where others hadn't. Watching carefully with his eyes focused on trainers and tributes alike, he can't help but find himself needing more. Training wouldn't be enough to know more about them.
It's around the morning when he comes up with the idea. Zeus and Lauren surely wouldn't mind if he had a little bit of fun. To learn more, he had to create the perfect scenario and a little more competition never hurt no one. Quickly, he shouts to some trainers. "Get me some matts in the sparring rooms. I think it's time for things to get interesting." Trainers rush off to go fetch his every whim. A smile on his lips as he knew what being a conqueror was like. The feeling never got old. Watching trainers rush to create his concept with all their hard work. The Capitol's ideas could be used for his own gain. Tributes surely will not know what hit them when he's done with them.
Later in the day, someone tells him it's been finished. A whisper in his ear as he steps carefully into the room. Matts spread out across the floor, wooden weapons put into holsters waiting to be picked out, and medical staff on standby. The smile pulling on his lips filled with the fire of knowing there was going to be some mayhem. Sending off a handful of trainers with orders to invite every tribute of the 91st to this event. Whether they accept or not is up to them, but Saber Bancroft wanted to see what each of them could do. What better way than to set them up to fight. "Let the Sparring Tournament commence."
Welcome to the 91st Sparring Tournament! I have been sitting on this idea for awhile and have been waiting for the games to be able to do it. Shoutout to lance for the inspiration of the ratmas career tournaments for this. All of this tournament is meant for a fun writing experience that'll create some possible connections to tributes you may or may not have planned to write with. The whole tournament is optional and you do not have to sign up if you don't want to. Will you make friends? Make enemies? Find rivals? All of that is up to you!
The rules are simple enough. Each tribute will have twenty five hp and be able to choose a different wooden weapon of your choice each round. All tributes participating will be put into a tournament bracket that I will link below. The first to reach twenty five damage will essentially lose the round and move on to the next one and so on until we have one tribute remaining. Essentially, each match will be overseen by Saber and other Trainers in the Training Center. These rooms have been outfitted with matts to protect tributes from falls and injury. You will use wooden weapons for the sake of avoiding severs and instas, but the damages will still be the same. Instas are ten damage. Any weapon is allowed, so feel free to have fun with it and write to your heart's content. I will start each match that happens. Blitz Posts are preferred! Feel free to message me any questions!
