Okay so call me a dork, but I was hyped to meet Saber Bancroft. He was somewhat of a legend back in One and smoking hot. The man was gorgeous, an absolute specimen of a man, you know, for an older man. I mean sure it was his first time Gamemaking, but the anticipation of his selection had been something that the whole of district One had been excited for. The streets had been filled with many rumours and many names had been tossed around leading up to the official confirmation. I had been #teambancroft right from the get go.This morning I had decided that today I was going to officially meet him. I had seen him lurking around the training centre, observing the tributes and each time I had planned to greet him I had chicken out, my words stuck in my throat, cheeks flushed and thoughts jumbled. But today I was going to speak to him, maybe even snap a quick pic to share with my followers. They would go fucking nuts over it. I had already had my DM's filled with requests, and several very inappropriate ones at that.I had developed a strategy, utilising the KISS framework of keeping it simple stupid. The plan was to simply play it cool. A plan that had failed on two accounts already, but third times a charm. I mean how hard could it possibly be to string together a full sentence and not seem like a stumbling thick headed fool? I wanted to impress him, I needed to impress him. After all he could quite literally be the difference to me living or dying. So walking into the training centre I pull back my shoulder, smiling brightly, so brightly that I knew my other would be proud. I could hold it together, after all I was Cordelia fucking Bardot. I was confident. I was beautiful. And I was not some star struck buffoon who lost the function to operate when in the presence of an idol- no matter who hot they were.Play it cool, girl, I say, hyping myself up as I spot him by the blades station, watching one of the pathetic kids from district Ten swing around a blade. You got this."Mr. Bancroft!" I say cheerfully, beaming brightly at him, silently celebrating the fact that I held it together perfectly. "Can I just say: I'm a big fan." I move to stand next to him, trying to ignore the fact that he was huge. Putting to shame boys my age, such as the boy before us. "Cordelia Bardot, District 1."
