You didn't honestly expect to win the Capitol's popular vote and become the liaison for District Ten, but alas, here you were. You suppose your experience working with circus animals and the like was enough of a credit to show you'd work well with the livestock District. Now, if that was saying you'd work well with the livestock of Ten or the citizens themselves, well, that was to be seen. Perhaps they were similar enough to one another.
Having been asked to assist in running part of the District Ten Derby, you graciously accepted. This would surely be a way to show off, as well as show yourself to be worthwhile as a member of the High Council. The people of the Capitol were the ones you were trying to entertain and impress, even if this really was an event for District Ten.
Taking your place at the front of the room where many Capitolites were gathered for the bidding event, you motioned for the people to quiet down before speaking into the microphone.
"Good evening, everyone," you greeted them. "I'm sure you all know why you're here, but for posterity's sake, I'll explain it to you all."
There were some light chuckles from the crowd.
"District Ten is holding a derby, and their trophy needs a name. That's where you all come in. It'll be named after one of you, but only one of you— the highest bidder. So, if you want your name to be the one honored on that trophy, you'll need to beat out the bids of everyone else here! Let's get started!"-----

The prize for winning the District Ten Derby? A shiny trophy for your character! There's one small problem, though... It doesn't have a name! The highest Capitol Bidder will have the derby trophy named after them!
To bid for the title, make an in-character post in this thread and roll [r*oll range="1-200"] (without the *). The highest roll will win the bid!
Characters do not need to attend the District Ten event to participate in the bidding process. The deadline to make a bid is August 3rd.
