For the science fair, Whim, Brone and I came to visit District Six and stayed with some of Whim's friends. None of us actually participated in the science fair. Instead, we just more or less came to observe. Whim wanted us to learn something, which was actually out of the ordinary for him. Usually, we were quite sheltered, not doing a whole lot that would give us the knowledge we needed to realize Whim was an absolute piece of crap. He liked his power, but certainly didn't want to give us our own.

Brone and I were allowed to leave Whim's friends' house only to witness the science fair events and demos, but never at any other time. We were restricted home. Of course, sometimes I snuck out on my own. I didn't like to be confined to one space. It drove me absolutely bonkers.

Then again, even at home, we didn't get to do a whole lot. We weren't allowed to leave home without express permission and sufficient supervision. It didn't quite seem fair to Brone and I, but we mostly played along. Of course, there were times I snuck out, but Whim didn't need to know about that.

One of my favorite events to watch at the science fair was the 'fun with liquid nitrogen' event. There were lots of explosions and lots of excitement. It was really quite fun, and I'd wished I could've participated myself.

Maybe someday, I'll get some freedom to make decisions of my own without Whim watching over my every move.
