Any of the people who visited you in the Justice Building needed to be pushed from your mind for now. You couldn't focus on the things that made you soft and vulnerable: weak. Thinking too much about them and their well-being would hinder your focus.
So, when you reached the train car that the Peacekeepers escorted you to, you flashed a smile their way and then went straight in. The place was luxurious for what you expected from a train. Then again, it was a Capitol train, so you supposed it should've been exactly what you expected.
The seats of the train were pretty much just plush velvet sofas rather than actual train seats. The train windows looked freshly cleaned and polished so that you'd be able to see all the sights of the Capitol when you ultimately pulled in there.
There was a cart of pastries and other treats off to one side, along with other carts full of other goodies like food and beverages. Unfortunately, it looked like they weren't offering the two of you any alcohol on this trip. You took a small pastry off of one of the carts and took a seat on one of the sofa-seats, gazing out the window until the train actually started moving. Unsure if you wanted to acknowledge your District partner quite yet, you shot a glance his way, but didn't say anything as you finished off your pastry.
You gave him a nod of acknowledgement. His way of volunteering at the reaping was respectable— you liked his way of telling off the District. So, you really didn't have anything negative to say about him quite yet, but you were sure you'd get there eventually. You always found something about the new people you met.
