I’m covered in dried blood. And I feel full. I have a pretty good idea about what I was gnawing on, but I’m going to pretend I don’t. Wonder if that got aired for the folks back home. They knew this was going to happen right? Had to be part of their plan, up the shock value. 2 games with zombie tributes wasn’t enough, they had to up the ante.

At least she was dead before I—fuck that can’t be good for my system. Or is it? I’m a muttation now, after all. I’m also alone. Heard a second cannon not too long ago. Probably the 12. Or the other normal girl. Can’t see them lasting much longer with alla us monsters around.
Something in me tells me to catch a scent, so I do, sniffing the wind. Every day, every time I see another tribute, the beast comes outta me faster, and it lasts longer.
Another day or two of this and I might not come back. Just be watching the beast pilot my body for the rest of my life. I can feel it in the back on my mind. It’s resting. Sated. For now.

A week ago I was basking in the fact that I beat out everyone’s training score and today—today I’m wondering if Andal will taste like beef, or if Ace and Silver will be gritty from all the rock dust back in their district.
Ha. Ha-ha-ha.
Theoretically, I should be able to take them.
Realistically, my chances of dying are higher.
But I knew that the second I volunteered.
I also know that survival only goes up with every cannon.
