I hated to have to ask him for help, but it's what it'd come down to. I wrote Adrián a letter, requesting some financial assistance from him for my family. For myself, for Yasha and for Kara. He's Kara's father, but he didn't even know she existed or that he'd gotten me pregnant back then until now. I sort-of wondered if he'd even read the letter, or if he'd disregarded it entirely. He wasn't a bad person by any means, and I really did wish him well. I just hoped he was willing to help us out.

My partner Yasha and I have been raising Kara in the recent years. When Kara was first born, it was because of a fling with Adrián, but Yasha didn't see her as anything other than their own despite that fact, and for that, I was grateful. Unfortunately, right now, we're struggling. We hardly have the means to get by in day to day life, and we really need to keep food on the table for the three of us. So, I'm doing what I can to get us what we need. I hate to ask for a handout, but sometimes, it's the only way to keep on going.
