he did not feel like he belonged in a place like five. in fact, there were many days where he would find himself at odds with many of the people in the district because he did not check all the boxes.

he did not feel like he was quiet enough to blend in, he did not like the structure that was placed on top of him, and he certianly did not care for any rules regarding his way of living.

since his mother passed away during the rose plague, he has been on his own in order to try to make ends meet. he just recently discovered his father was still alive and kicking, but he refuses to ask him for help beyond a place to stay when he is feeling lonely.

since the travel restrictions have been lightened just a bit, nigel has been able to travel just enough to let his curiosity grow. his friends were selling precious jewels that they had found on the side of the road one day in five. while nigel did not believe they were real, he was just in it for the thrill of getting to see new places.

who knows, maybe hell run away in one of them.
