- maybe they were curious to see what would happen when they deprived someone of their senses
- maybe they just didn't like you
- your attitude
- your talking back
- when they pulled you out, you were feral, a career determined to prove herself, so desperately afraid of what would happen if you failed
- you excelled in every area, push boundaries you did not know you could surpass, and yet
- after all of that
- they dragged you screaming, crying back into that dark room
- and locked the door
- the months passed slowly
- you could not tell where one day ended and the other began
- when you emerged you were not the same
- left you there for months
