One thing about Harvey Nashe is that he works on New Years' Eve. When the fireworks explode across the Capitol skylines, he's off tinkering at his desk. Me, on the other hand? I'm a partier. And while I could serenade him with streamers and a glass of champagne in hand, it would be a shame to keep him from the work.

"You pay the bills, Harvey. Don't want to keep you from making money!" Playing with his ear for a few seconds while I'm getting dressed should be enough to hold the silly boy over for tonight. I'll crawl into bed at four in the morning and lay away from him and tell him that the night was boring, as were last year's celebrations.

Lying, of course, because I've got the intention to get high out of my mind tonight and share that New Years' kiss with a man much hotter than Harvey Nashe.

The Last Drop, a vampiric and gothic bar amongst the rooftops of our lovely city, is my bar of choice, at least for the first stop. Maybe a pretty boy's penthouse after? Who can be sure! Bloodsucking kinksters aside, it seems like a good place to be for the night. But I'm more than just a guest. I'm V-I-P worthy, haven't you seen the executive producer credits for Castle Game?

"Ahem, yes, hi. Where can I pay for a VIP suite? Or are there any inviting some babes in for the night?"

New Years is today.

I would much rather spend it with my wife and kid. But it's impossible to pass up the financial opportunity the holiday brings. One of the few days of the year which I get to exploit the bar. Between having "The Last Drop" and adding "Heaven's Gates" in the works for this next year, I need all the extra money I can have. On New Years, they just get drunk off of their ass.

The door was open for anyone to come in as early as noon. Some people want to start their drinking festivities early. The queens I offer a show to won't be in until much, much later, though.

A drag queen is never early. If anything, she's always late. The queens get here and have to find a dressing room that doesn't smell like piss. It also can't have anyone they can't kiki with. They also have to save a seat in the room for their sister. It also has to be close enough to the stage to where they can hear the host for the night. If they can't hear the bass of their song start.. well, it's curtains for that bitch.

In steps in Harvey Nashe. I know of him - Petulia had mentioned him maybe once or twice.

"Ahem, yes, hi. Where can I pay for a VIP suite? Or are there any inviting some babes in for the night?"

Oh, well, damn. We don't do VIP suites. But I guess we have a few extra dressing rooms...

"Well, we do have-" I stumble on my words for a moment. Would it work? I could always ask the kitchen to cook up a few basic bar foods to cater. "We did not prepare any for tonight. But you can take one of our extra dressing rooms tonight?" I nod toward the hallway leading to our dressing rooms. "There's nothing set up there, but I can ask our cooks to whip up something."
