Oh, how she loved the spring semester. 

Five ghastly months of reciting proper care instructions and tutorials on handling beasts of all tiny shapes, sure, is exciting for some. The students would get excited whenever it was time for some hands on activities, but otherwise the first semester is always a snore. 

She prepped all throughout the winter break for the upcoming classes. This is when her big boys come out, building all the way up to the final exam - a Sphinx! Even she doesn't know what the question will be, and there's only ever one. She's seen even the most studious kids get thrown off and tank their grade at that final hurdle; thankfully, the rest you can and should be preparing for. 

As the time got closer for her morning batch of students, Petelia finished arranging the outside station for today's beast. She's always one for a show, so the mystery creature remains caged up and under a silk pink bedsheet. "Absolutely no peeking!" She called out as she steps back to notes to check off attendance. 

Once all the junior beast handlers are present and crowded around, she blows her whistle and starts the class. "Good morning, sweethearts!" Petelia says through a grin, pressing her chin to her shoulder. "Welcome back to Care of Magical Beasts, I hope you all had a wonderful winter break with whoever you celebrated with. Remember, no casting spells out of turn in my class, save that for Transfiguration or whoever. "

She walks as she speaks, "now, let's get down to business." Petelia waves her wand and sends the sheet flying into the woods, revealing her beast of the day: a Blesserwhelp! Snoring in its slumber, lazy bones. "Who can tell me the name of this creature and a little bit about it?"
