"You're a basket case, Creighton."

These words run through his mind more than he cares to admit. Being emotional is hard, yet Creighton wears his heart on his sleeve, but it's not even that. Sometimes when he's out in a large crowd, he'll become overwhelmed with emotions that make no sense to him. It feels as though he absorbs emotions like a sponge absorbs water, and most of the time, Creighton has no clue where they came from. It's embarrassing to stand in the middle of a crowd and start sobbing uncontrollably for no reason at all, and when someone asks him why, he can't answer because he doesn't know the reasoning. It pains him when someone else is hurting, and when someone is having the best day of their life, Creighton can't help but feel the joy they're feeling.

All his life he's felt deeply, even when he feels nothing, he feels deeply, and this is why Creighton desires entering into the medical field as it will offer him the chance to help others who are having their worst days.

It took many years to accept being emotional, a basket case, an emotional wreck, but now he accepts it. It's who he is, and if someone doesn't like him, if someone tells him a man shouldn't cry, he tells them to leave him alone and let him live his life the way he knows how to.

"I may be a basket case, but at least I know who I am."
