It's all the same in the grand scheme of things. You're a better mechanic than all the tough guys here. Most of them believed you couldn't figure out the difference between a wrench and a screwdriver, but you've wiped the floor with all of them. Spent hours slaving away with your hair tied up and oil slicked hands on the machinery blowing up in Three and all of Panem. You're the fastest, most consistent mechanic in the yard, but all they care about is how big and tough they are. Many of the guys treat you fine, but others like to mess around. You're not here for fun, you're here for work. Nothing is better than getting your hands under the hood of one of those Capitolite cars and figuring out the broken bits and bobs.

The trains were also apart of your expertise. Despite the pathetic talk, you enjoyed the yard. It's not always the safest, but you've grown up having to put men in their place. As the only girl in your family, you were well experienced in telling men to fuck off. The yard was your home. Machines were your life's work. No one was better than you here. Alone you work, the latest model of engine having come in after the push towards open borders and travel within the districts and the Capitol. You had a family to support. You couldn't give any opportunities up. As you wipe a bit of oil away from your brow, you grin at your work, flashing teeth to the guy coming from the office. A manager who didn't like anything about you.
