I see the darkness calling to me. The void, I call it. It haunts me, and I see it in my dreams. When I fall asleep, I feel like something is pulling at me, trying to pull me out of the real world and into another reality. Or, perhaps it's a lack of being that it's trying to pull me towards: nothingness. Darkness. Silence. It's all so strange feeling, but I feel it inching closer all the time.

I also feel that, when I'm gone, there'll be someone who replaces me: almost immediately. It'll be like I was never even here, on this plane of existence. I'll just be forgotten. I won't even be a memory.

I'm not ready for that.
