Name: Rabbit
Cavesman
Age: 16
Gender: Male
District/Area:
7
Appearance:
He has messy, knotted brown hair tied back from his face with twine, eyes are brown
and heterochromian (so, light brown in one, dark brown in the other,) and he is
slightly farsighted. He is about average height, with wide-set shoulders and strong
arms earned from a childhood of labour.
His hands have mild
scaring, though one on his left hand that runs from between his index and
middle finger diagonally across the back
of his hand stands out against his pale flesh. His preferred clothing is a
thick, sleeved brown top, leather jerkins and shin-high leather boots, suitable
for stomping around in prickly bushes. As an overview, he looks like a wild,
unfriendly sixteen year old.
Personality:
In school, he would
usually be seen as quiet, distant and emotionless. He does not like to
socialise with the other kids, but instead keep his eyes downcast and blend
away into the background. This is why he has no ties to anyone. Part of him likes it that way, but the other
finds it incredibly lonely. He sometimes tries to talk to people, but no matter
how hard he tries, he can rarely get past the first eye contact.
He sometimes gets
waves of depression so strong he has to go hide away in the woods and cry it
all out.
In his home, he is a
little different. He smiles more, and laughs sometimes. He does not like
pretending with his family, and tries to be more open to them instead if hiding
his emotions. He is not usually angry, but when he is, you don't want to be
around. If a job is given to him, he tries to push on and get it over.
Procrastination used to me be a problem for him, but now he is trying to fight
it.
One of his worst
fears is bees. Can't stand the creatures, but likes the honey they make. The
thing he hates most is traitors. Trust is one of his most valuable possessions,
and if you break it, you can expect to be given the silent mode for as long as
it takes to mend.
History:
Rebecca running
away, along with his childhood friend, Chuck, reporting on him for something he
hadn't done, led Rabbit to his trust issues. He is afraid that if he trusts
anyone else again, they will all betray him.
When he was about
seven, he threw a rock at a robin, to see if he was good at killing. It struck,
and almost killed it. But not quite. It had tried to hop around, making pitiful
noises for ages before it finally did. That was when he realised he was not a
killer. He couldn't kill creatures or people. If he was selected for the Hunger
Games, he wouldn't know what to do.
School, in his
opinion, is a complete waste of time. There was nothing there, apart from the
basics like reading and counting, that would be of any use to him. All he
needed to know was how to do his job, and that couldn't be taught to him by
school. His tendency to skip school has earned him many a detention.
A favourite
pass-time/hobby of his is whittling. He uses the blade his father gave to him
when he was young, and has sharpened it so many times that it has lost much of
it's former size. The blade is also the reason for many of his scars, including
the large one on his left hand. He used to have a large collection of wooden
objects, such as animals, but he destroyed them in a raging depression when he
was fourteen.
