svet had moved around the training floor within the first couple days to make sure that she was getting the full experience that the capitol had to offer her. she wondered if her cousins had done the same thing when they were here.
she wouldnt know obviously, and honestly, she couldnt bring herself to ask. it didnt matter anymore. she was not like the others that shared her last name. she was an ethereal being blessing everyone else with her presence.
she stopped at a simulation stations for a moment, the trainer telling her that it was the self defense station.
self defense was something she knew all too well. after all, living partly in the wilderness would do that to someone. her parents preferred the solitude of living in the middle of nowhere. that did not mean that they didnt find themselves in sticky situations.
one time she watched her father take down a bear with an axe in hand.
she idolized him from that moment on.
if there was one thing that her father instilled in her, it was to always be aware of her surroundings. sometimes, a confrontation might be unavoidable, her father made it clear that watching for patterns was the best way to survive.
maybe she could apply that here.
when she asked to give the station a go, the trainer told her to pick a weapon from the table next to them. she grabbed an axe, tried and true, and walked onto the platform as the trainer had set the parameters of simulation. right when svetlana was about to say she was good to go, she heard the trainer speak up to someone behind her. "you want to make this a duo session?" they asked svetlana. she looked back, noticing that it was the girl from four this time. she shrugged for a moment, giving the trainer a thumbs up. "im not afraid of a challenge." she looked back to the girl. "are you?"
and she waited.
