Whisker spends most of his free time in his family's shed in the backyard. As far as his family knows, he tinkers with toys in there, and they never ask questions. What else could he be doing, sneaking a girl in to mess around with? No… Mom and Dad aren't ignorant parents, they know their son well, he's not bringing a girl home. With the exception of Nintendo, their best friend and the kindest most ambitiously great person he's ever met, he's never shown them any of their friends.

Does Whisker have any other friends?

In the shed, he does.

No, Whisker doesn't kidnap people. Hidden behind drapes, tarps, and curtains, they live another life with computers and satellites and screens running different programs writing code to help them stay within the spaces of the Capitol's social media. If there's one thing about early internships in District Three, the world of technology, it's that there are spare equipment and parts to build a spaceship if there's somebody smart enough to put it together.

Having access to the online world of the Capitol was not their idea, originally. It was actually Nintendo's because they want to be famous across the country, and a second-round elimination in Panem's Got Talent isn't enough to crave her needs. Whisker knows that their world revolves around Nintendo and her happiness. If she's happy, he's happy. So he got to work, a dozen fans in the shed to keep warm from the overtime shift the computers are putting in. All for their friend to be a star.
