Chaos. The sounds of weapons clashing, blood being spilt, and then there is silence. For a split second, the tributes remaining at the Cornucopia feel a brief moment of peace, like it was all worth it. Breathing heavily, the ground shakes and a thunderous cracking noise fills their ears. It makes a ringing noise, before again, silence. The remaining tributes look back at the pavilion to see the massive boulder that had once sat on the pedestal cracked in half, the two halves falling to either side. In its place, they see the following six items:
1. Dō [chest plate] (+10 torso)
2. Omamori (A small ornament, it looks like a small red teabag. Grants the wearer an additional +2 healing per day)
3. Longbow of the Sky (A bow made of the finest materials, it feels light as air in a tribute’s hand. Decorated gold and blue, with gorgeous white curving lines. Tributes may add lightning damage 2x per day to their attacks. Attacks using bow + fire rolls. Will cease to charge its electric energy at Top 8 and function only as a bow.)
4. Engulfing Lightning (A sword made from the oddest purple metal a tribute will have ever seen, a handle wrapped in gold painted leather. There’s intricate designs etched into the blade, swirling lines patterned across the face of it. Adds +1 lighting damage to all hits 6 or higher. Will cease to charge its electric energy at Top 8 and function only as a sword.)
5. A jar of tar
6. Sakura health potion (1d6 healing, tributes with a +1 or higher boost in the Brains skill may add their brains modifier to this items result)
Upon closer inspection, there is a golden plaque with a haiku inscription neatly carved into the base of the pedestal. It reads:The wealth will be yours
Here sits more than you have earned
Beware what greed implores
Alliance may roll a Brains check to understand more about what the plague is trying to communicate.
