Rewards for the Damned // [Day 4 Leisure, Svet & Pierce]

the evening is somber, and svet can tell that the moon has blessed her even more than she realized. the cannon sound still rings in her head as she has finally said her goodbye's to dorothy with both theo and elm. she isnt quite sure how they are going to fair without here, but at this point, it couldnt matter to her.

she had to be strong enough for all of them now.

svet let elm and theo decompress, both of them awake and alert because they had been mourning. svet wanted to want to be sad just like they were, but svet had a feeling that dorothy wouldnt have wanted a pity party.

she would have wanted them to get revenge.

however, it is not time for revenge, in fact, its far from it. it was though, time for svet to take her shift as look out. she slipped through the cover they had created and looked up at the moon. she asked it to watch over dorothy as she crossed over.

the moon glimmered in the skylight, and she knew that something answered her prayers.

time passed, and she had heard rustling through the air. it was a little before the anthem, but svet decided that it was best for her to check it out. when she realized that it was pierce, sitting a top a rock and trying to patch himself back together, svet let her guard down just enough. he seemed to be deep in thought at first, but then he finally shared what he had been thinking.

"i dont know what i can show you, that you havent already learned in those academies district two is known for." she is honest as she shook her head and thought about the time that her father had to have her set his leg after a tree branch had feel on it and snapped part of the bone. the way his leg looked was exactly what pierce's had looked like as well. "here, hand me the bandages." she said, taking charge to make sure that tomorrow he would be able to walk on his two feet without too much difficulty.

"if you dont set this leg properly, its never going to heal the right way..." she had already pulled out enough bandages to wrap the leg, but now she needed something that would give some support. "...unless stumbling into open fire is what you are going for pierce." she knew that might have been a little on the nose, but if she was going to get his buy in, then she needed to be just a bit more on the crass side.

focusing on the task at hand would bring her some closure.
