Hephaestus Gair
Making the jump from airbrush artist to body painter to tattoo artist was an interesting and somewhat difficult endeavor, but Hephaestus Gair had done a rather good job of it. He had his own studio now, whereas when he started out, he was an apprentice at a pretty big place where he didn't have a lot of choice in the style that he did, as he just had to take the clients he could get.
Now, Gair (as he preferred to be called, instead of by his first name) was able to pick and choose which clients he took, refusing to do things he didn't want to do and getting paid more to do what he actually did want to do. It was quite a lot more enjoyable of a way of doing things. A nice bonus was that he got to decorate the shop the way he wanted to, too.
As a client walked into the studio, a little bell chimed on the door. Anyone who walked in could see the giant dragon painted on the wall behind the front desk, of which Gair was sitting at. He had time for walk-ins today.
Looking up, he smiled to greet the client as soft rock music was playing quietly in the background in the shop.
"Hey! Welcome to The Forge. What can I help you with?" he asked them.
The tattoo shop, called The Forge, was a nice, clean shop with welcoming staff. Even if Gair himself didn't want to do whatever the tattoo was that the client wanted, he was sure he could get another artist in the studio to do it. Usually, someone there was open to whatever it was that a client wanted, as long as it wasn't something blatantly offensive.
That, and maybe Gair would be willing to broaden his horizons and do something a bit different today. He'd just have to see what the client wanted.
