Your whole life, that's all you wanted. You looked up to them, you admired them, and you did everything in your power to do everything they did.

But Mama had other plans.

You were here 'little angel' after all. Hence your name, Evangelina. It was supposed to be some type of take on evangelical. Apparently Ripred spoke to Mama or somethin and she was inspired. Ripred hasn't talked to you yet, so personally it seems like a whole bunch of bologna.

She always says 'maybe one day, you'll have your turn' and then followed up with 'but be careful what you wish for, because it may be on your death bed.'

Maybe it would be better to talk to Him later rather than sooner.

Day in and day out, you were meant to stay in the house and help her make her precious baked goods. Pies, and sticky bones, and apple strudel, and anything you can imagine. At first you fought her on it, running away whenever possible to go play with the boys. She used to scold you, but eventually gave up. You were her little baby, and she really only forced you in the kitchen during peak cherry picking season. On rainy days or when the boys were being lame, you still helped out though. She taught you everything she knew, her best kept secrets and tricks even, and every Sunday you would help her set up the baked goods table. Some of the church goers even said your oatmeal raisin cookies were better than hers now.

But what good does baking do you in the real world?

The boys, they all had special talents. Somethin they were really good at it. Even Lena, she was just good at being great at everything. But you? Nothin. Maybe that's why you look up to them so much, wanting to be just as talented as they are.

You loved them, you admired them, and you wanted to be them, just the way they were.
