59.5th Hunger Games Arena
Fountain/Cornucopia
A giant marble sculpture of the iconic horn of plenty that is incorporated into a fountain serves as the cache of weapons and other supplies that will make or break contenders for these Games. Careful not to slip on the stone, tributes, because that may very well be the last trip you ever take...
Casino Floor
Lots of flashing lights, mechanical clicks, bells and whistles, and other distractions make it easy for tributes to sneak around amongst the slot machines or duck under the card tables without drawing too much attention to yourselves. Why not scrounge for a coin and see if you can't win some money before you die?
Grand Foyer
This opulent entryway servers as the official welcome to the arena for the tributes who make it out of the bloodbath alive. Elegant chandeliers and ornate tables are scattered about the lobby, but aside from that, there's not much else around. There isn't a door to whatever lies outside the Arena in sight, though practically every other above-ground area can be accessed through the atrium.
Kitchen
This kitchen, unfortunately, has been robbed of nearly everything that gives it its purpose. The drawers are completely empty with not a morsel of food in sight, nor a single utensil to be found. The gas has been turned off, which keeps the stove from lighting, and the only thing that still functions as it was meant to is the large walk-in freezer. Unfortunately, the lock on this is broken, meaning the only tributes unable to walk back out are the dead ones.
Ballroom
A large wooden dance floor sits in the very center of this room, though tributes will be hard-pressed to find any music to dance to here. Circular tables draped with white clothes line the edges of the room and a massive crystal chandelier hangs over the dance floor, though little else is found here.
Stairs
A narrow stairwell serves as the only link from the rooms aboveground and the basement below. Unlike the rest of the rooms above ground, this concrete-and-fluorescent-lights stairwell is the opposite of grand and inviting, with no room for tributes to pass each other on the stairs. There is a small alcove beneath the stairs themselves, though tributes who choose to camp out here be warned: it's very easy to be trapped in a corner here.
Basement Hallway
Much like the stairwell that leads to it, the basement hallway is a bleak, shadowy, concrete beast. There are plenty of corners and niches for tributes to hide, but every exhalation echoes throughout, making it easy for tributes to be confused amidst the cacophony that fighting would most likely produce.
Wine Cellar
Perhaps the one joyous place in the entire basement, the cool, damp wine cellar is a complete change in atmosphere from the concrete basement outside. Racks of bottles and barrels of spirits line the walls and line the shelves between the walls, with plenty around for tributes to drink themselves to death. But do you really want to trust whatever the Gamemakers put inside the bottles?
Vault
Though the vault's twelve-inch door seems to be stuck open, do you really want to take the chance that you'll be trapped inside? Whatever good things or bad things line the inside of this vault, isn't better just to play it safe and avoid being trapped altogether?
Boiler Room
A floor-to-ceiling chain link fence separates the boiler from the surrounding basement. This large, angry-looking furnace radiates heat, and it's hard to tell if it's up to any sort of safety code. It sort of looks as if it might blow at any moment...
