Time is running out, and Vallen hasn't done anything other than spend his time at the trapping station tinkering around with whatever items he could find in hopes of building a robot. In just a few hours all of this will end, and he needs to know how to hold a weapon, and he needs to know the basics of fighting. But how can he learn? Observing is one of his best traits, yet as he ventures through the training center, he only finds fear of those around him. The trainers are strong, and when he looks at himself, he's nothing compared to them, and even seeing the careers training petrifies him more than he ever imagined.
But he doesn't stop walking around. Sometimes he stops at different stations in hopes that someone can help him, yet he knows that it's very unlikely anyone will unless they're a trainer. Why would a tribute help him? He's nothing more than a piece of meat, and it terrifies him. Living is important, and the only way to live is to know how to fight.
I'm not even sure where to begin.
Just as he's about to call it quits, he slowly makes his way over to the one station he's been avoiding. For a moment, he watches a couple of trainers throwing axes and knives at various moving targets, and it only draws him closer. It's easy to want to learn more about ranged weapons because those can definitely have a benefit to them, and that's when he sees her. One of the careers is training at the station, and it's perfect to learn from her if she's willing to teach him. Part of him feels that running away would make this all go away, but he has to know.
Taking a deep breath, he walks up to where she's standing.
"Do you think you could help me?"
What have I done?
