First tribute to openly weep or cry

⇢ The FIRST tribute to openly weep/express grief for a fallen tribute finds that the arena grieves alongside you in its own way. Or rather, it drinks up your sorrow and mutates it.

Suddenly, every plant life around your vicinity wilts and dies, before the ground erupts with a loud crack! The tribute finds that the earth has broken up and in the place where it has, lies the handle of a sword. You find the pommel to be choked by briars and thorns, but the wickedly sharp blade reflects your own grief back with clarity in its mirror-like steel.

“Let your grief cut them down, Sorrow Lord,” the wind urges.

The sword has 2/2 charges throughout the course of the Games. A tribute can expend a charge and cause the briars at the hilt to grow abruptly and cause an additional 1d4 piercing damage to the attack. They have to roll this damage after the corresponding attack.

The briars will wilt when only eight tributes remain.
