At first, it pained you to say that the horror of the Hunger Games piqued your interest. In the 92nd Hunger Games, the concept of vampires and werewolves revived itself in the districts, as serums twisted concepts of reality and the supernatural. It is tempting to think of yourself in a world with just that serum in your hands, without consequences. It starts with wild dreams that you keep to yourself. But it grows. You're so young, what else do you have to your name other than the appeal of fantasy? Then, it's doodles in your notes. Maybe you're checking out books in the library or licking your incisors as if sharpening them into fangs.

One day, someone told you it was possible. If you're up for it, that is. Of course, you are! If what they've proposed to you, this idea that a woman has replicated the Chiroptera serum from the 92nd Hunger Games, is true, you want in. And if not, at least you've met some like-minded people who share in your dreams– your obsession at this rate.

The Nightwing Club. Club in air quotes. That is not really what you are. It's a guise to keep your ever-prying parents at bay. A fantasy book club is how you've been advised to talk about it. Stories expanding your imagination, fairy tales. For those who find themselves within the large log Nightwing House walls, you know it is much more. A society. A clan. A group of people with the opportunity to change their lives forever if the strength of their numbers can pledge fealty worthy of the second half of the substance.

You see, Kirill Katzenagen only has access to one-half of the serum's recipe: a substance warm and thick in consistency like syrup. You can consume it, let it slowly absorb into your skin, you name it. It is the first step in achieving the Second Blood. Step two must be prepared for, and there is much to be done: improvements to the cabin and cellar, recovery of verses and script, and proof that all members are worthy of the freedom and fearlessness that the full serum will give you. How do you prove your worth? Preparedness. Strength. Wit. Cunning.

Time catches up to you when you're with your companions in the cabin. You figure at this rate, you've spent more time at the Nightwing House than you have at school or at the home of your family, your First Blood. If you weren't serious about it before, you are now. This woman, whoever she may be (not even Kirill knows her name,) will not wait for the unworthy when the time comes to receive the second half of the serum.

Whatever feeling you may have, whatever draws you may demand… this promise frees you to take it and never look back.

Welcome to the Nightwing Club! Inspired by an obsession with the supernatural triggered by the 92nd Hunger Games' serums, a private society has recruited eager members to join and dedicate their time to a promise that they may one day become vampires like the ones they saw on the screen.

Prospective members must earn the trust of those in Nightwing House before they're allowed to consume the first half of the serum. Their membership demands time and dedication, in which characters will slowly move further from their First Blood (family) in exchange for Second Blood (the club.) In the meantime, members slowly begin adopting a vampire-like aesthetic in anticipation of their future lives.
