Torian wouldnt have the luxury of choosing how he died, but he didn't want to come another footnote in some villain's storyline. He didn't like this world where people could laugh at the suffering of others and receive praise and money for it. Whoever won, they would probably forget about Torian - unless it was Ulysses. He would become a name in one of those history books he read in class. There would be no emotions tied; just another name to read and study for the students who weren't as unfortunate as Torian. What a shame.
When he heard another cannon blast, he paused. It could've been Ulysses, it could've been someone else. The dread in his heart made him nauseous, so he took a seat to recuperate. He would have to wait until Ulysses found him, or until the anthem. He didn't know what he was going to do if he was alone. Yesterday had been frightening enough, and today had been a little better because of the hologram. But if he never saw Ulysses again?
Pushing those thoughts aside, he scooted himself beneath brush to disguise himself from the world. It was time to play the waiting game. An excruciating ordeal.
