Geiger sits somewhere between wholly unimpressed and half-heartedly amused, feet kicked up on the dashboard and sour candy stuck between his teeth. The first round of fights had spat out mixed results, some taking longer than others and some over before he could blink. Yet, above all Geiger wanted to see more, test the boundaries between tributes, pull the bloodlust or lack thereof to the surface and then some. With a flick of his finger the arena microphone blares to life once more, a soft whisper of a buzz before he speaks again.

"Finally, you two." He says into the microphone, the tribute's uniforms lighting up to provide a semblance of who he was speaking to. "Make sure it's the best for last."

Each tribute has 25HP
Any weaponry is allowed
Tributes will attack twice per post
Instas count for 10

Deadline: Tuesday, October 17 / 11:59 EST

There will be a 24 hour posting time window in effect. If a tribute does not post within the window, they will be skipped for that round.

If a fight is unfinished, the tribute with the highest damage will lose

Sneaking up on Nessa Garner worked like a charm, so here he is, crouched in place, waiting for the signal.

He has always enjoyed hide and seek as a game with Alfer because it's one where he never lost. Small and nimble, he could go into the crawl space under the house if needed, and often times, he would seek shelter there. It was cool and unperturbed, the stomach of a dead creature sheltering a dead thing.

But there's not much to hide behind here.

The guy steps into the ring and he's sure he can see him, bent low near the weapon crate.

"Yo," he greets him cordially as if it's a regular Monday.

Then, "catch!" he springs forth, throwing one dagger at the other's arm. He quickly jumps over the crate as it flies, cartwheels left, and lets loose a second blade the instant he lands on the padded floor.

I'm genuinely surprised when I manage to move on in the sparring tournament. Maybe I am capable of succeeding and making a name for myself, but even then, I'm unsure of where this will take me. It seems so easy for people to believe they can do well when I don't even know how hard people are actually trying. For me, I just want to keep doing well to bring my confidence up and prove to myself that I am stronger than I ever imagined.

I'm just about to pick out my weapons for the second round when I hear someone yell catch, and I barely turn around as the blades clash against my armor. This is something I need to prepare for, something I have to constantly think about. Once in the games, everything is fair even if it feels like it isn't. I turn towards my new opponent, and I let myself relax for just a moment. Now is the time to shine. "Same to you!"
