Ever since you and Arcadia have split up, it felt as if you were running into every possible tribute except the one you were looking for. Neither of the two of you had seen Tati since all hell broke loose, everyone scrambling around trying to do what was best for them. You could not blame Arcadia for fleeing but after seeing and attending to her burns, you were glad you chose to fight.
The elevator let out a loud ring signaling you had arrived at your next stop…the district five suites. You just wanted to get a quick look and then head out, there was not much time left until you were due to meet back up with Arcadia. The longer you were separated the more dangerous it would get. Not everyone would be a friendly face and those who were will eventually become your foes. In the end of the day, they would have to die for you to live. A fact you were not entirely ready to wrap your head around, your conscience split in two as you grasped the idea of what survival would mean.
The district five quarters were not what you expected, they seemed to have become anything but a livable space. Planks stretched out for those who dared to cross over the intoxicating fluorescent-colored pools. You scrunch your nose a little bit at the alarming smell radiating from below almost scared that staying there too long would somehow poison you.
Just a quick look and you will be on your way.
You hold your arms out in a T form as you balance across the planks to the other side. One foot in front of the other keeping your eyes in front of you to avoid looking downwards.

Once you were safely on the other side, you let out a little sigh of relief before taking a quick step backwards as you spot an unrecognizable figure through the less than helpful lighting. It took a moment before you had recognized one of your brunch partners.
”Mateo?”, your voice slightly uncertain.
”You know that friend of yours, the one who would probably want to take my picture? This would definitely be an interesting setting for a shoot with all these colors and what not. The colors probably look haunting on my pale skin.” you try to make a lighthearted joke to cover the unease the place casted upon you.
