Exiting the medical wing, I quickly make my way across the plaza toward the fire exit door that would lead me to the stairwell. However, I'm still a few meters away when the elevator dings, sending me sprinting into the open doors of the interview hall. Here, I duck down between a row of chairs. Cloaked in darkness, I crawl on my hands and knees toward the corner of the room, then push myself to my feet and sprint down to the stage, ducking behind thick curtains to conceal myself from view.
From behind the curtain, I peek out onto the stage. It looks so different from a few nights ago when the seats were filled with Capitolites in their weird, brightly colored clothing and bold makeup. It's hard to believe that I sat up on this stage with Tear Flickerman, bright lights blinding me, as he bombarded me with personal questions. Back then, the smallest sound would be concealed by a noisy audience, but now, it echoes around the hall.
Turning away from the empty seats, I begin searching the stage for anything that might be deemed useful.
